Challenge

Consumers want more transparency in how their financial decisions affect the planet. However, most banks treat sustainability as a side note—not a core function. This leaves eco-conscious users with fragmented tools and little incentive to continue eco-friendly practices through their finances.

This project was conceived entirely from the ground up—beginning with brand identity elements such as the logo, color palette, and typography, and extending through to UI screen designs and marketing visuals. It was a comprehensive design challenge that pushed my creative and strategic abilities. Every design decision was guided by the core theme of eco-consciousness, ensuring that the visual language remained clean, minimal, and modern, while still clearly reflecting the brand’s sustainability mission.

Key problems identified

  • Traditional banks don’t reward sustainable choices.

  • There’s no centralized platform for managing both money and environmental impact.

  • Sustainable investing is complex and unclear for average users.

  • Users lack real-time visibility into how their spending impacts the environment.

The solution

  • Offer real-time eco-insights (CO₂ footprint, trees planted, water saved).

  • Include rewards for green behavior (badges, cashback).

  • Feature an eco marketplace and green investment portfolios.

  • Provide biodegradable banking tools (debit card, digital wallet).

The UX Process

Empathize

Reviewed data from Statista, EY Future Consumer Index, and PYMNTS.com which show:

  • 52% of Millennials and 55% of Gen Z actively seek sustainable finance.

  • 46% of them would switch banks over sustainability concerns.

  • Demand for tracking tools for environmental footprint is high.

Define

How might we help users make better, greener financial decisions through everyday banking?”

Ideate

Generated a feature set aligned with user pain points and expectations:

  • Spending categories with environmental metrics

  • Eco-loan options and GreenLock+ savings

  • Gamification: badges, eco-saver awards

  • Embedded map of nearby eco-partnered businesses

Onboarding Screens

The development of the mobile health tracking app demonstrated the importance of balancing functionality and usability in app design. By focusing on creating an intuitive and engaging user experience, we were able to support users in achieving their health goals and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The app's success underscores the value of thoughtful design and user-centric development in the health and wellness industry.
